Guest Writer FAQs

Who can submit?
Anyone. We welcome submissions from writers at all stages, including aspiring journalists and contributors connected to WCorp or Green Flag. Submissions are open globally, but articles must be written in English.

What topics are you looking for?
We publish articles aligned with WCorp’s mission and evergreen themes, including:

  • workplace culture and leadership
  • equity, authority, and power at work
  • women’s experiences in modern organisations
  • business outcomes linked to better workplaces.

We also welcome articles that surprise us - as well as articles responding to current news, trends, or conversations, where relevant.

Is this a paid opportunity?
No. Guest contributions are unpaid. In return, we offer a credited byline, author bio, and promotion of your article across WCorp’s channels.

Can I submit something that’s been published elsewhere?
Yes, as long as you are legally allowed to publish the same content on the WCorp blog and it does not breach any exclusivity agreement.

Can I promote myself or my business in the article?
No. The article itself should not be promotional. However, you may include relevant information and links in your author bio.

How long should my article be?
There is no strict maximum, but we most commonly publish articles between 600 and 1,200 words.

Do you edit submissions?
Yes. We may make minor edits for clarity, length, tone, and SEO. These edits will not be sent for approval.

Will I be notified if my article is rejected?
No. Due to volume, we only contact contributors whose articles are selected for publication.

When will I hear back?
If your article is selected, we’ll contact you by the date stated in the submission confirmation email. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Can my article be removed later?
Yes. If you request removal, we will remove your article from the WCorp website.

How do I submit?
Submissions must be uploaded as a PDF (size 12 font, any font). You’ll also need to provide your email address, author bio, image, and links via the submission form, which is linked at the top of the page.

Guest Writer Terms & Conditions

By submitting an article to WCorp, you agree to the following terms.

1. Eligibility
Submissions are open to anyone globally. Articles must be written in English. We particularly welcome submissions from aspiring journalists, writers, and individuals connected to WCorp or Green Flag, but this is not a requirement.

2. Content Requirements
By submitting an article, you confirm that:

  • The work is your own and is not AI-generated
  • The content does not infringe on copyright or third-party rights
  • Any claims or data are supported by appropriate sources, cited using in-text hyperlinks or parentheses
  • The content is not defamatory, misleading, or unlawful

Articles should align with WCorp’s mission and focus on workplace culture, leadership, equity, business outcomes, and women at work.

3. Prior Publication
Articles may have been published elsewhere, provided you are legally entitled to publish the same content on the WCorp blog. You confirm that submitting your article to WCorp does not breach any exclusivity or publishing agreement with another platform.

4. Editorial Control
WCorp retains full editorial control over all published content. This includes the right to:

  • Edit articles for clarity, length, tone, structure, and SEO - including titles
  • Decline submissions for any reason
  • Hold accepted submissions for future publication
  • Remove published articles if required

Edits may be made without author approval.

5. Selection & Feedback
Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Not all submissions will be published. We do not notify unsuccessful applicants. Feedback may be provided on request, but this cannot be guaranteed due to workload. If your article is selected, we will contact you to confirm publication.

6. Payment & Relationship
Guest contributions are unpaid. Submission does not create an employment, freelance, contractor, or agency relationship between you and WCorp.

7. Copyright & Licensing
You retain full copyright to your work. By submitting your article, you grant WCorp a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to:

  • Publish the article on the WCorp website
  • Promote the article across WCorp’s marketing channels, including social media and newsletters

You may republish your article elsewhere, provided WCorp is credited as a publishing platform.

8. Author Bio & Assets
If published, you agree to provide:

  • An author bio (maximum 150 words)
  • An image (headshot or logo)
  • One to two links (e.g. website, LinkedIn, or product)

9. Legal Responsibility
You remain responsible for the content you submit. You agree to indemnify WCorp against any legal claims, damages, or costs arising from your article, including claims related to copyright infringement or defamation.

10. Data & Contact
We collect your email address solely to communicate with you about your submission.
